Background
Nenad Stankovic has been a drug addict for many years. As a result he was unemployed and unable to take care of himself. In 2001 Nenad ceased to take addictive drugs with the help of the ‘Krista Kralja’ Centre in Dubrovnik, where Bert Rosman was working. Before his drug addiction he was a qualified hairdresser. This project has motivated him to pick up the scissors again. Since 2005 he has been working on his future. He can be seen as an example for his environment. From 2000 to 2005 Bert Rosman was the head of World Partners in Croatia. In cooperation with the Cluster Dobra Viest from Bunschoten Spakenburg World Partners has the objective to fight for the weakest people as Nenad Stankovic in these countries. Abandoning drugs was the first step, but what do you do afterwards? Going back to society implies you need work. This job has given Nenad the opportunity to take care of himself and to pick up the thread again. He would not have succeeded if he had to do it all by himself. For that reason World Partners Foundation has helped Nenad to start up his hairdresser’s salon.
