Background:
In 1997, World Partners extended a loan to a Community Center in Kerala, South India. The Center functions as a retirement home as well as a home for orphans. Over time, the orphans are being placed with families. In order to facilitate such "adoptions", financial aid is needed for the foster parents in order for them to feed and cloth the children and have them educated.

The extended loan was used to purchase cows and to start a poultry farm (chickens/eggs). Furthermore, banana, pineapple and cassava trees were planted. During the initial months, the agriculatural activities were supported by an expert appointed by World Partners.
Meanwhile production has increased considerably. The profits generated are used to support the Center's activities.
