Background
Kalimantan is the biggest island in Indonesia. The island is rich with forest. Illegal logging is big problem, a lot of waste wood is also not processed in the right way. World Partners came into contact with Training Centre Sancta Yosep, een Roman-Catholic with a large woodprocesing unit. This unit was not- or hardly used at present. It was decided to start a partnership in which World Partners was allowed to us the facilities of the Training Centre.

 PROJECT DESCRIPTION

World Partners is allowed to use the facilities of Training Centre Sancto Yosep. After seeing the possibilities concerning waste wood, it was decided to produce products with this waste wood.

 A number of local people are employed to take care of the production of the products. Two experienced people are hired to guide the production and train other people in the skills that are necessary for the production.Wood company REEF is donating $ 6250 per month for a period of nine months. This money makes it possible to start the production and make sure it will continue for the coming period
