BOARD OF DIRECTORS, NETHERLANDS

The Board of Directors of World Partners Europe consists of:

  • Chairman: Hans Hamoen

President of several domestic and international companies since 1977. As Mr. Hamoen travelled to more than 90 countries, he has gained much international knowledge of trade, culture and institutions. He has compassion for the people in need (spiritually and human).  Encountering the tragedy of General Baby Doc and the fighting over power in Haïti, was Mr. Hamoen's turning point to help people with business. So World Partners was founded.

  • Vice-Chairman: Cees de Jong

A person who can cope with people of different societies must have sensitivity. Mr. de Jong has that kind of personality; although he never forgets what his goals and targets are. He also has his own company related to input consulting. Besides his vice chairman function for World Partners, he is also responsible for fundraising.

  • Treasurer: Hans Bins, CPA

A former Ernst & Young executive, Mr. Bins is the treasurer of the board. He runs his own financial administration company (which is highly digitalized), and Mr. Bins is active for World Partners' India projects and served as the Chairman of the India cluster.

  • Member: Kees de Wolf

For fourteen years, Mr. de Wolf and his wife have been involved with development work in Papua New Guinea for De Verre Naaste (the Distant Neighbor). He has seen in real life the need for an approach from the bottom up and is focused on small projects that are being initiated by the local populace. As chairman of the Indonesia cluster, his knowledge of language and culture are put to valuable use.

  •  Member: Samuel van der Maas

Speaking five languages fluently, Mr. van der Maas can easily cope with international projects. He has his Masters in History and Theology and was a pastor for many years. After that God called him to management functions within Europe. Within the World Partners board, his excellent views on organizational issues and policies are respected.
