Location: Novovolinsk Budget 2011: $ 12,745 Background: 1. Orphanage In the orphanage live 26 children aged between 4 and 20 years. Besides housing orphans the orphanage is also home to children that were legally removed from their parents custody. Alcohol addiction often plays a role in this matter. The management of the orphanage provides daily care and also helps with homework and game activities. This is done from the motivation of God's love for people. They want to give this love to the children as well. Ttwo years ago the renovation of the orphanage started so as to meet new requirements set by the fire brigade, also the insulation was improved by installing new windows. The renovation process is almost done and the building looks great now. Only the asbestos corrugated roof needs replacing: the existing roof is old and not insulated. This involves a lot of costs. These renovation costs come on top of the existing 'daily expenditure' for maintenance. 2. City children A lot of city children are faced with alcohol-related problems, when one of the parents drink for instance and the other parent has to pull out all the stops to make ends meet. Children sometimes also live with their grandmother, because the parents can no longer look after the child or because they work abroad. The church wants to help these children too. As the church has only little funds, World Partners would like to help out.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
The orphanage receives a small financial contribution from the government per child. This is not enough to pay the expenses of the orphanage. World Partners will support this project through its Adama project, amongst other ways. World Partners will finance aid and aid goods. World Partners would like to help make the construction of a new roof in 2011 reality. For that, we need € 6,000.

A youth group from the Netherlands ran a programme for the children during the summer holidays in 2009 and 2010, under the supervision of World Partners. Also this summer 2011 a youth group will visit us in Novovolinsk.
