VOLINSK PROJECT CHILDCARE
Location:
Novovolinsk

Budget:
$ 4,571

Background
:
In the orphanage live 26 children. Besides housing orphans the orphanage is also home to children that were legally removed from their parents custody. Alcohol addiction often plays a role in this matter.The children are aged between 4 and 16 and live in the orphanage. The management of the orphanage provides daily care and also helps with homework and game activities. This is done from the motivation of God's love for people. They want to give this love to the children as well.

A youth group from the Netherlands ran a programme for the children during the summer holidays, under the supervision of World Partners. The group, together with the children, also painted the playground equipment in the garden of the orphanage. The Dutch youth group will return again for a working holiday in the summer of 2010. The orphanage was also renovated in 2009 as new requirements from the fire brigade had to be adhered to, and the insulation was also improved by means of installing new windows.
