ABOUT THE COUNTRY

Tanzania is known for its beautiful safaris, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the three largest lakes in Africa. This land is also known for its friendly people and relatively stable political climate.

Tanzania receives aid from the United States and many other western countries, since its government meets the socio-political standards as outlined by the U.N.

Tanzania is one of the poorest countries in the world. 52% of the population lives below the poverty line. The country fights draught and soil degradation.
